The Sozietät Jürgen Geiling & Partner hereby announces the Anton Randa Award for the year 2023.
The Anton Randa Award is intended to encourage and support legal and economic scholars who deal with areas of Eastern European law in their academic work.
One bachelor or master thesis and one dissertation are awarded annually.
Prize money
The prize money is staggered according to the type of work:
The prize is not divisible.
Requirements
The prize is aimed at students and young academics who have written a Bachelor's or Master's thesis or dissertation that:
a) was written in the field of law or economics in German or English.
b) has been assessed with the grade very good or at least magna cum laude.
c) deals essentially with a legal or economic area of Eastern European law.
d) is submitted to the Sozietät Jürgen Geiling & Partner within three years of the submission of the thesis to the university or college.
Application
Applicants are requested to submit their theses in PDF format and proof of their grading to the Sozietät Jürgen Geiling & Partner at c.kiesl@jgp.de by 31.08.2023 (cut-off deadline).
In addition, a recommendation from the responsible supervisor of the Bachelor's/Master's thesis or dissertation or another professor may optionally be attached. Incomplete applications cannot be considered. In addition, the decision of the jury is not to be questioned.
Award ceremony
Both prizes will be awarded within an award ceremony in spring 2023 at the University of Passau.
